Sankt Nikolaus Visits AIS

"Lasst uns froh und munter sein und uns recht von Herzen freu'n, lustig, lustig, tralalalala, heut' ist Nikolaus' Abend da!"

This is what the students were singing when Sankt Nikolaus came into their classes on the morning of December 6. Sankt Nikolaus' day is one of the most distinctive children's festivals of the year in many European countries.

As always Sankt Nikolaus came into German classes to visit the students at AIS. He first enquired about the behavior of the children and he was pleased with the students. He gave each of the children a bag filled with the traditional things: nuts, apples or mandarins, Pfeffernüssen, Spekulatiuskeksen and chocolate.

Sankt Nikolaus, we hope to see you again next year!
