Grade 12 Students Win Awards in Sandy Springs Annual Art Show

In December, artwork from several of our students representing grades K-12 was displayed in the Sandy Springs Annual Art Show.

Two of our Grade 12 students won awards for their work. Emerence de Potesta won first place in the mixed media catagory and recieved an award for best in show. Julia Tayor recieved third place in the black-and-white category. You can find an exhibition of Emerence's work hung in the the main building.

Learning to Look Art Series

In January, AIS will feature an as-yet-unnamed British water color artist represented by the Thomas Deans & Co Fine Art Gallery.

Thomas, the gallery director, will be in school during January to talk to some of our classes about the medium and about the artist.

We hope you enjoy the work, which will hang in the Sports & Activities Center.
