Global Language Convention

The 2008 Global Language Convention, hosted by the Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education (CASIE), provided an international forum for stimulating discussions on dual and multi-language and culture acquisition in today’s schools. Over 350 language educators from every part of the globe gathered at Atlanta International School, Atlanta Georgia, April 17 to April 20 for the weekend-long conference.

2008 Spring Benefit Passport to Italy Sets a New Record

The 2008 Spring Benefit, Passport to Italy, which took place on April 12 broke a new record and netted over $330,000 to support AIS.

Chaired by Anita Leopold, the Spring Benefit was once again a sold-out event. The Benefit was held at AIS, and featured a new layout that introduced the new gym as the dinner and live auction venue. The new gym was beautifully and completely transformed by Gloriosa, Atlanta Sound & Lighting and the Spring Benefit décor committee, chaired by Darcie Adler.
