Atlanta International School offers a wide variety of sports for its students. The Primary Athletic Program educates children in traditional sports while instilling a will and desire for exercise and healthy lifestyle for years to come. The Middle School Sports program offers two teams: the A team and the Community team. There will be tryouts for the A team while Community is open for all willing participants who are eager to work hard, listen to their coaches and improve their basic skills. The A team prepares kids for Upper School Sports and gives a glimpse of the handwork and dedication it will take to make the Varsity team. Varsity Teams are our elite-level US teams. Tryouts for the Varsity teams will be held for all sports. All players not making the Varsity team are encouraged to join the JV team. Tryouts will be held for JV as well. The athletic department and student body are looking forward to another successful year. Last year’s fall athletics was a true success! The Middle School boys’ soccer team took home the championship trophy with a 4-3 victory over Sutton. Cross Country’s Lindsey Sanborn finished third in the state meet, and our varsity volleyball flourished, finishing the year one game away from state. We look forward to more of the same in the fall of ’08!
