Educational Administrators
Robert Brindley
Robert Brindley is Headmaster of Atlanta International School. He has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Keele, UK, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geophysics from the University of Exeter, UK. Previously, he served as Head of Middle School / Director of Secondary Academic Studies for four years. Prior to joining AIS, Dr. Brindley was Deputy Head of School and Headmaster of the Secondary School at the British School in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Brindley has taught in Australia, Italy and England, and has lived and worked in Ireland, Tunisia, Israel, Greece and New Zealand.
Dal Sohi
Dal Sohi is Head of Primary School. He has a Master's degree in cross-cultural counseling from the University of San Diego. He also has a Teaching Certificate from the University of British Columbia, where he completed in addition his Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a focus on Ethnic Relations. Mr. Sohi is fluent in English, French and Punjabi. Prior to joining Atlanta International School, he worked as the principal of a dual-track school offering instruction in English and French in Canada.
Marsha Huitt
Marsha Huitt is Head of Middle School. She has a Master's in Education from the University of Florida in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Reading. Her BS from the University of South Alabama is in Elementary Education, and she has done postgraduate work at the University of Arizona. Marsha has taught elementary, middle school and college levels, and has served in the Peace Corps in the Truk Islands in Micronesia. She has also taught at Navajo Community College (now Dine College) on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Most recently, Marsha served nineteen years as Head of the Middle School at Valwood School in Valdosta, Ga.
Suzanna Jemsby
Suzanna Jemsby is Head of Upper School. She has a Master's degree from Cambridge University, UK, in modern and medieval languages, and teaching and performance diplomas from the London College of Music. Ms. Jemsby is fluent in English, German and French, and also speaks Italian and Swedish. Prior to joining AIS, she served as teacher and university counselor at Internationale Schule Frankfurt-Rhein-Main. She has coordinated the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme while a teacher in London, and is a recipient of the award herself.
