About Atlanta International School
Atlanta International School is one of only two or three schools in the world with a multilingual primary school program, in which students from 4K to Grade 5 are taught all their subjects through the medium of English and one other language — French, German, or Spanish. Classes in each language alternate daily, and are taught by native speakers of each language.
The independent school, located in the Philip Schutze-designed campus in the heart of Buckhead, attracts students both locally and internationally. Of the current enrollment of 800 students, approximately half represent 57 countries while the other half are local.
The faculty is similarly diverse, representing 27 nationalities.
AIS is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS), the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The school is also recognized by appropriate educational authorities in France and Germany.
