Giving Levels
To fully acknowledge the valuable - and often times multiple - contributions our supporters make, we combine all of our donors' donations and purchases, to either the Annual Fund or a Special Event, made between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008.
Using the following formula, we calculate each donor's total Year End giving:
- Gifts of cash or securities
- + Matching gifts from employers*
- + Special event participation (less any goods or services received)
- + Special event item purchases (less the fair market value)
- + In-kind gifts for the school's operation (according to fair market value)
- + Auction item donations (according to their original fair market value once they are sold)
- = Total Annual Contribution
*Matching Gifts - Individuals must give a minimum $1,750 personally in order to receive Spring Benefit tickets, because corporations will only match the tax deductible portion of their employees’ contributions, and stipulate that their employees cannot receive any additional goods or services as a result of their corporate match.
