Track & Field

Track and Field is an immensely popular sport at AIS.  Thirty-nine upper school students showed up for the first practice.  Underclassmen make up the majority of the squad with 25 participants.  The rest of the team consists of nine juniors and four seniors.  We will travel all over Metro Atlanta to compete against such schools as Pace, Holy Innocents Episcopal School (HIES), Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) and many others.

The Middle School (MS) Track and Field Team has begun the 2009 season, bringing together 35 students from grades 6 to 8; we welcome 6 new students from grade 6, 11 students from grade 7, and 18 students from grade 8. Several of the grade 8 students are returning members of the AIS MS Track and Field Team, and they bring a tremendous amount of experience and maturity to our team.
